Epilepsy Awareness
All over the world, November is celebrated as Epilepsy awareness month. As per the statistics, every one person in a hundred has epilepsy. It is the most common neurological disorder but at the same most shrouded in mystery and misunderstandings. It has a lot of stigmas. Our Trustee, Kavita Shanbhag, was interviewed by popular Marathi actress Ketaki Chitale, who has been tirelessly working in the field of epilepsy. Every Thursday, Ketaki takes up one issue concerning Epilepsy and posts a video talking about it. This November, she uploaded videos interviewing people who have worked in the field of epilepsy and we were happy to be featured in one of them.Grammar Workshop
ChildRaise organized a Grammar workshop for children on Sunday, 23rd November 2019, which was thoroughly enjoyed by the children.December 2019

Life Line Express (LLE) Epilepsy Clinic
ChildRaise Special Educator Amruta Veer Shanbhag writes about her experience at LLE Epilepsy Clinic... ''The last weekend was unique! I had different plans than usual. For this one, I accompanied Kavita Shanbhag, ChildRaise Trustee, for volunteering at the Epilepsy Clinic of the Life Line Express at Forbesganj, Bihar. This clinic was started ten years ago by Dr. Mamta Bhushan Singh. Forbesganj is a small town in the Araria district, at the Nepal Border. We both went there as Epilepsy Educators/ Counselors. I often deal with children who have intellectual and academic difficulties because of Epilepsy. I wondered how it would be in the remote areas of our country and how does this clinic work! The experience was eye-opening. We met close to 250 patients and their families. As we listened to them and counseled them we could peep into their lives and understood how important and necessary this clinic is!''
