Vocabulary Building workshop

On Friday 21st February 2020, ChildRaise conducted a Co-curricular workshop on Vocabulary Building. In this workshop, we focused on Adjectives and their use. Having a strong and effective vocabulary is a great advantage. The aim of this workshop was not just teaching what are adjectives, but how to use different adjectives aptly. We had a lot of fun with the group discussions. completing the worksheets and it was an interesting craft activity for the kids.

Lockdown Homework

#childraise #lockdownstudies #lockdowndiaries #onlinestudies #technology #socialdistancing #Covid19
Have a look at our student's homework & how wonderfully they are keeping up and doing their studies during this lockdown period. Some of them are with us for academic enhancement, some are for remediation and some are for other learning or behaviour issues. But what is most amazing is that they are realising the seriousness of the situation and complying with parents.

May 2020

With this pandemic, and uncertain times, we wished to create a solid fund base for our activities and projects. Therefore, for the first time we registered with a crowdfunding site Impact Guru and uploaded a campaign for our students. We received a good response for the same.

Extraordinary Summer

The summer is at its peak. This is usually a very interesting and fun-filled time for children as they are free to do what they like and are busy planning their next academic year. In these times of uncertainty, we thought it is important to make them feel hopeful and excited about the season but also keep them grounded in reality.
Hence, we are including some academic activities focusing on the summer and usual summer routines in our students' homework. Sharing what our student, Hiten Mandaliya has this to say about this 'extraordinary' summer.

June 2020

The COVID-19 lockdown is creating a tremendous humanitarian crisis in India. With the forecasted economic slowdown, we as NGOs need all the support to serve the communities. Tata Mumbai Marathon 2021 has initiated the COVID 19 Response under which those NGOs that participated in TMM 2020 have been on-boarded by default and can right away receive donations and fundraisers can select them as beneficiary NGOs. We believe there is no non- COVID 19 work as all NGOs are now operating in a COVID-19 altered world. The lockdown has affected every organisation in one way or another. The economic slowdown is being predicted to reduce CSR funding and recession will impact individual capacity to give. The need to raise funds for NGOs through their current supporters is more significant now more than ever.

We appealed to all our donors for donations to sustain our work of imparting information & education to children and parents of kids with special needs through www.childraise.com, DISHA- our Toll-Free Disability Helpline, online remedial therapy & Sanjivani Project for epilepsy medicines to underprivileged children.
