Sanjivani Medicine Distribution

Under the ChildRaise Sanjivani Project, we went to an organisation in Andheri who had referred Kunal's case to us.We gave Anti Epilepsy Medicines(AEMs)to Mukesh Vaghari, father of Kunal, our beneficiary to receive epilepsy medicines. We hope with continuous supply of AEMs , Kunal's seizure frequency will decrease.

Diwali Workshop

This Diwali was different. There were no crackers, no shopping for new clothes, no visiting your relatives, friends . So many restrictions. We were also not sure whether we can conduct any art & craft activity with our students and the kids who usually participate in our workshops. We didn't want to lose an opportunity so we had bought & kept some Mitti diyas in case we decided to conduct a diya painting workshop. Another reason was to promote local vendors from whom the diyas were bought. We bought the diyas from an old lady in need of some extra cash to tide away the difficulties created by the pandemic. We were ready with the raw material. So when the kids enthusiastically gathered to paint these diyas, we could only see their sparkling eyes. We could not witness their wide smiles as all of them were wearing masks but all said & done they could not mask their happiness for sure.

Medicine Distribution

Under the ChildRaise Sanjivani Project, we are supporting 25 students with Special Needs for Anti Epilepsy Medicines(AEMs). Our heartfelt thanks to our donors who have donated towards the Sanjivani Project. This project is close to our heart because unless the seizures are controlled, the learning can not take place. Often due to expensive treatment, these AEMs are not purchased and the seizures continue. These students with special needs are learning Activities of Daily life, Functional Academics in BMC run special Schools and Urmi Foundation takes care of their Special Education Needs. Thanks Sonalee Shyamsundar & Urmi Foundation Team for so painstakingly segregating their medicines and delivering them to the parents at convenient spots so they could collect them. We fervently hope that these AEMs help our children and their education continues.

Grocery Distribution

As we are all aware this pandemic has affected the whole world but it has impacted some people very gravely. We are talking about People with Disabilities who are severely affected. Project Mumbai founded by Shishir Joshi has started many unique initiatives. People donated one time to use plastic & groceries were bought by them. These groceries were distributed to the needy so no one went hungry. We are grateful to Project Mumbai for providing grocery kits so we could distribute to people with challenges. Our warriors with challenges are courageously fighting not only against COVID but lack of livelihood, therapy, scarcity & nonavailability of medicines in spite of their limitations posed by their disabilities. ChildRaise thought of making their visit to us still more worthwhile by having fun, joyous by having snacks, a little gupshup, all of this maintaining norms of social distancing. Special thanks to our donors Jayant Bellare, Rajendra Rao for donating towards Diwali faral for the affected.

Space Workshop

On Saturday, 12th December 2020, we had a wonderful workshop about all that glitters in our sky. Children have a lot of questions about the space. We tried to cover the subject of 'Stars' this time. This workshop was special, as it was our first after thelock down ended. The children and we were conscious of maintaining social distancing, wearing masks without any exceptions and sanitizing hands before and after the workshop. We plan to hold more workshops on similar lines, as the children had many questions about the space and its workings. Sharing a few snaps of the workshop - 'Space : Stars Edition'
